Why You're
Making a Mistake
If You Don't Have a "UPS"

18:07
This
lesson explains what a UPS is (and no, I don't mean the shipping company),
and why you're making a mistake if you don't have one to protect your
computer.
The lesson also explains how to avoid a common mistake I see people making
with their UPS which, if you made it, would mean the UPS wasn't protecting
your computer properly and you'd essentially wasted your money.
Once you've watched this video, you'll know exactly how to protect your
computer and other devices from harm.

Understanding
the Computer Term "LAN" and "Gigabit LAN"

9:40
In this video I
answer a question about some computer terms, namely "LAN" and "Gigabit
LAN". While we're at it, I give you not only a non-technical
understanding of what these terms mean, I also give some advice on
whether you need to spend extra money on a faster router (and whether
it will really make things faster for you).

more lessons like this, plus easy basics that make it easy to navigate
your computer both safely and confidently, you'll want to be a member
of the Easy Computer Lessons Gold Club.
The audio to the right is one of the sections from the October Computer Question
& Answer audio CD which the Gold Club members get each month.
While it's
not technically the answer to a question, I recorded it in
response to a subscriber who emailed me about how he nearly fell victim
to a specific type of scam which is unfortunately common these days. I
just wanted to share this valuable information with you to help protect
you.

My Embarrassing
Admission

23:09
There are a lot
of my students who come to me for help because they feel like dummies
around the computer. Unfortunately, this leads a lot of people to
the misconception that they "just can't get good at computers", but
this is simply not true!
In this video I
am going to make an embarrassing admission about how much of a "dummy"
I was when I first started with computers, and I hope that you learn
from my example that just because you're not good at computers *yet*
doesn't mean you can't become good.
Believe in yourself,
because you can do it! If you do need help, take a look at my easy,
Plain English computer lessons and find out how easy it can be to
become more confident and skilled with your Windows PC or Apple Mac
computer.
